The newest OxygenOS Beta for the OnePlus Nord includes Bitmoji compatibility as well as an upgrade to the Ambient Display.
It is being recommended that OnePlus Nord users who have enrolled in the company’s open beta program monitor their handsets since a new update is on its way. However, while OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 for the OnePlus Nord isn’t the most ground-breaking update in terms of what it brings to the table, it does have some interesting twists and turns to offer.
The latest OxygenOS beta includes a security patch for August, as well as several innovative screen-related features and Bitmoji-like characters used by social media platforms such as Snapchat and Instagram.
Using Snapchat’s unique technology to support the newly added Bitmoji compatibility, the update allows your screen’s display avatar to continuously refresh throughout the day, responding to users’ behavior and what is occurring in their immediate vicinity.
Using the Bitmoji function is simple: go to Settings, then Customization, and lastly Clock ambient display, where you can turn on the feature and save your settings. As the day progresses, the Bitmoji on your screen should alter and animate in response to the changing circumstances.
According to Android Police, users may now capture screenshots of the ambient display mode, which was previously not possible due to limitations in the software. More information about the ambient display can be found on the OxygenOS Open Beta 6 homepage, which also includes screenshots.
