It is now possible to purchase the Oppo R5G and Oppo R5 Pro 5G in Europe; a 4G version will be available soon.
Oppo launched the Reno6 series in May, and a 4G variant was added in July to the lineup. Now, the business has introduced virtually the whole series to Europe — aside from some name confusion, we’re pleased to announce that this includes the top-of-the-line model, which was previously unavailable. And two of them are now available for purchase, effective immediately.
According to Chinese media, the Oppo Reno6 Pro 5G is the model known as the Pro+; this is the device equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and a more advanced camera system. This refers to the 50 MP primary sensor (1.56” with OIS), the 13 MP telephoto camera (52 mm, 2x), and the 16 MP ultra wide-angle camera (123o) on the camera.
A 12-gigabyte RAM and 256-gigabyte storage configuration are included in the €800 pricing of the Pro. Oppo is also providing special bundles to commemorate the launch. These bundles include the Oppo Enco X TWS headphone (which you can read about in our review), the Oppo Band Style (which we’ve also reviewed), and a Liquid Silicone protective cover for your smartphone. The regular Arctic Blue and Lunar Grey color options are available for the phone as well.
In addition to that, there’s the Oppo Reno6 5G, which is identical to the phone we saw back in May. With a Dimensity 900 processor, a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, and a 64+8+ MP camera system, it is a little smaller device than the iPhone 6. It supports 65W cable charging, much as the Pro, however the battery is significantly smaller than the Pro (4,300 mAh vs. 4,500 mAh).
Additionally, this model is now available for purchase for €500 with an 8/128 GB RAM option. The Oppo Enco Free2 smartphone and a Radiant Lighting protective cover are included in the launch package (which has a flip-up that provides illumination for selfies). Arctic Blue and Stellar Black are the two colors offered for the phone.
Various stores, including Amazon, Boulanger, MediaMarkt, and others, as well as wireless carriers such as Deutsche Telekom, Orange (formerly T-Mobile), Vodafone (formerly TIM), and Telefonica will carry the Oppo Reno6 5G and Pro 5G, according to a release.
Then there’s the Oppo Reno6 4G, which will be released in the near future, but we don’t have a specific launch date or pricing information yet. It will be available in Central and Eastern Europe; further information will be released in the near future.
