Will the price of the iPhone 12 drop in conjunction with the debut of the iPhone 13?

Are you looking for a good deal on the iPhone 12? It’s possible that you’ll be in luck.

The debut of Apple’s iPhone 13 is rapidly approaching, and with an invitation to an event on September 14 being sent out, it appears that we will see it in less than a week…but what does this imply for the iPhone 12’s predecessor?

The new assortment of Apple gadgets will, undoubtedly, be the primary focus of anyone wanting to make the switch to the company’s most recent technology offerings. However, if you’re more concerned with saving money, it’s possible that the iPhone 12’s price may be reduced in the near future.

Apple isn’t too keen on offering discounts on its products, even its smartphones. Apple, in contrast to firms such as Google and Samsung, will only adjust its prices once, and that will be when a gadget is no longer the most up-to-date and innovative.

Following in the footsteps of the iPhone 11: A whole year ago, when the iPhone 12 was introduced (wow, time flies! ), we saw Apple declare that the prices of both the iPhone 11 and the iPhone XR will be substantially reduced.

Apple began offering both devices at a discount of more than $100/£100 compared to their original retail prices. This naturally extended to other stores, with the result that the highest you’ll ever spend for a brand new iPhone 11 is $599/£599 at the moment.

When the iPhone 11 was released, the same thing happened to the iPhone XR, which resulted in a significant decrease in price. While there is no certainty, it is extremely likely that Apple will replicate its previous behavior.

This may result in both the iPhone 12 small and the iPhone 12 being reduced in price, providing a significantly more affordable alternative to the soon-to-be-released iPhone 13.

In the United Kingdom? You may already receive a discount on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini if you act quickly.
While Apple has not officially announced a price reduction for the iPhone 12, a number of shops in the United Kingdom have been providing significant discounts on both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini for some time. Both Amazon and Very regularly offer discounts of up to £120 off the devices – a price that is about in line with what we would expect Apple to give as well.

What about the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, you might wonder.
Unfortunately, if you have your heart set on one of Apple’s more powerful Pro models, your chances of getting a discount are significantly less. Apple has never reduced the price of its bigger models, and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

The demand for both of these gadgets was extremely high during the year 2021, with supplies frequently running out and no major discounts being offered. When they fall behind and are no longer considered Apple’s most powerful smartphones, discounts may become more regular, but we wouldn’t hold our breath for anything particularly big.

Is it worthwhile to hold off on purchasing the iPhone 12 until Black Friday?
If Apple does decide to lower the price of the iPhone 12 in the next week, it will be ideally timed for Black Friday, which will take place a few months after that. The older Apple products tend to be heavily discounted during this period, with a large number of stores competing for the lowest price.

For those who don’t mind waiting a few more months, they may be able to get the iPhone 12 at a cheaper price…in addition to receiving an additional Black Friday discount.

It is also possible that we may see discounts on all four iPhone 12 models – the iPhone 12 small, the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12, Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max – during this period.

While it is less probable that we will see discounts on the iPhone 13 this Black Friday, the iPhone 12 was the gadget that everyone was striving to reduce last year, despite the fact that it had only been on the market for a few weeks at the time.
